S4 was previewd in my local Cannon cinema like this…

I clearly remember going to the cinema and was expecting to see:

But…

…we got:

Clearly something had gone horribly wrong and my Superman dream had become a nightmare:

Terrible production values

Awful FX

Bad story

Badly edited

Poorly scored

I’m sure there was much more that made this a bad film but I’d rather forget. I’m also sure there was a lot of

great creative work put into this film by individuals (on and off screen and behind the camera) but the only thing that

matters in motion pictures is the final article.

After watching The Quest For Peace I believed a man could NOT fly.

After a 20 year gap I eventually decided to rewatch the film on the “deluxe” DVD and it was even worse than I had remembered.

I have also watched the fanedit of Superman Redeemed and it’s just about passable and does mend the memory a little of the terrible SIII and SIV. SIII was just a poor effort but SIV was a complete and utter failure.
